DANIEL SPARKES DANIEL SPARKES
(England)

Daniel Sparkes, aka Mudwig, is the artist who created the images of KIDSOFBROKENFUTURE's Spring Summer 2022 collection. Daniel is born in England and works in the genre of Comic Abstractions, applying interventions to the mundane fabric of life by injecting it with dark painted and drawn motifs. Daily life becomes a vehicle for social commentary as Sparkes corrupts found images with painterly cartoonish forms. This subversion induces an arcane, yet awkwardly recognisable visual language that infuses his images with equal amounts of outrage and wonder.
“My work is fundamentally about a kind of alternate hinter-realm that is not real, but familiar and echoes the past but is cartoony/trippy futuristic yet historical. I always want the work to transcend the stresses and politics of the real world”. This vision echoes with the SS22 KOBF Collection theme, which underlines the natural human necessity to transcend reality to reach a more sublime universe and elevate itself.
WAYNE HORSE WAYNE HORSE
(Netherlands)

The images of KIDSOFBROKENFUTURE "NEXT" Fall-Winter '21 collection were created by Willehad Eilers, aka Wayne Horse, a young artist who began his career in the German graffiti scene and became an artist-ethnographer. Describing his practice as an investigation of the heuristically learnt political and cultural mores that define contemporary society, Eilers’ crude-style works offer us anthropological insight into his observations of the flawed human condition and its perpetual evolution.
IKEGAMI YORIYUKI IKEGAMI YORIYUKI
(Japan)

The images of KIDSOFBROKENFUTURE Peacock Spring-Summer '21 collection were created by Ikegami Yoriyuki, a young promise from Japan with a strong pop style inspired by the 70s. Ikegami’s expressive code has imbued the garments with bright, acidic colours, with a colour palette that ranges from pistachio green to earth tones and blue.
ROBERT YAGER ROBERT YAGER
(Great Britain)

The photos on the garments and linings of long shirts, bomber jackets and sweatshirts of the Fall Winter '20 collection are made by the British artist Robert Yager, a street photographer and documentary maker, who in the early 90s was able to document the Latin American gangs of Los Angeles, their families, the brawls, the drugs and the weapons. Unique and extremely rare shots from a world where the use of cameras was not the norm or, often, not even allowed.
REDIET LONGO, aka RED REDIET LONGO, aka RED
(Italy)

Rediet Longo, aka RED, is the artist behind the designs of the spring summer '20 collection. Red is a young and talented artist half Italian and half African who has already collaborated with important fashion brands. The name “Red” comes from the color he feels he is, not black, not white. But Red, like the graffiti he created for this collection. All his designs are influenced by the street art fashion culture and art itself. The result is an alternative perspective to fashion inspired both to the past and the present.
